We have some very exciting news to share! We are honored to have been asked to join The NCRI (National Cancer Research Institute) Paediatric Lymphoma SubGroup of the Lymphoma CSG (Clinical Studies Group). Dr Turner has asked us to join in a ‘lay person’ capacity and the paediatric group includes herself, Dr Amos Burke, Paediatric Oncologist and the UK’s lead for Paediatric Lymphoma plus a number of prominent Haematologists and Oncologist from around the UK. We have accepted the invitation and are absolutely delighted and honoured to be asked to join such a prestigious team.
This is a real stride forward for the Foundation to be able to contribute at this National Level and to meet the major UK players in the world of Paediatric Lymphoma. Meetings are held in London a couple of times a year and we have committed to the time to enable the Foundation to take up this exciting opportunity which will give us a more informed and involved role in the developments in the field. At the same time promoting the role the charity is playing and of course ensuring the work we are doing to help others and all in Alex’s name too.
We will keep you all up to date with developments so please watch this space for developments.
